The scene is Dovedale and the famous
"Stepping Stones". This is a place
which is not very far from where
I live but as always seems not happen
is not a place I visit very often.
However it is a lovely area of the
Peak District and is very popular
with the tourists. The picture below
was taken on one of my recent walks
and I think it is more or less where
Rex must have sat and completed his
painting. It looks like the painting
was done during the
winter months.
