WALK NOTES
A great days walk. The weather was kind although some dark sinister clouds came over just as we were about to descend from the summit. However it did not rain. There were plenty of walkers around today (some even walking for charity). We took the traditional route to the top (Mountain Track or Tourist Route) including the zig-zags. I was a little surprised to see so much snow at the top in July (especially the part where it covered the main path). We saw a Snow Bunting at the Summit (and then several more a little later on). The views from the top are breathtaking. Its just a pity that the only other route off the mountain is via Carn Mor Dearg Arete which is not a very easy way down unless you have a very good head for heights. Therefore we descended back to Glen Nevis the way that we came.
