It
was a foggy start to the walk. Many walkers entered
for the walk on the day. In the end 352 walkers
and runners took part. The ascent on to Baslow
Edge was steep but at least everyone had fresh
legs. The fog remainded for the whole duration
along the edges and all the way to Eyam. The sun
then came out while crossing Eyam Moor. It turned
out to be a hot day - 24°C during the afternoon.
The final stage across Chatsworth Park was a very
tiring one with the heat but at least it was flat.
It was a very enjoyable day. |
