Two
Southern Wainwright Fells completed today on this
walk. It was overcast all day and rained from time
to time sometimes quite heavy. Starting from the
bottom of the Hard Knott Pass near Brotherikeld I
took the path over Jubilee Bridge to Harter Fell.
When I arrived at the summit there were two walkers
already there. The cloud covered the summit so there
was not much to see. However while I was there the
cloud cleared giving views in most directions. I
then continued across wet ground to the summit of
the Hard Knott Pass before ascending to Border End
and Hard Knott summits. The rain was quite persistent
while at Hard Knott Summit. I descended via Mosedale
and Eskdale back to Brotherikeld. Although it was
a dull and wet day it was still a enjoyable one.
