Walking Boots

My first pair of walking boots I bought in 2001 and were a pair of Hi-Tec boots. These served me very well and I still wear them occasionally today (usually when I know the conditions are going to be muddy).

On one of my trips to the Lake District in October 2005 I decided to buy a new pair of boots as the ones I was wearing were getting a bit worn. After some deliberation I bought a pair from Cotswold in Keswick. I needed a new pair of boots which would support my ankles better and were also comfortable and practical. The walking boots I bought were a pair of Meindl Burma Pro MFS (B grade) which are also Gore-Tex protected.
