A day trip to Harewood House north of Leeds. As well as visiting the house we also went around the bird garden which has birds from all over the world. This was a fantastic day out.

Another short walk while on holiday in Pembrokeshire. This walk started from the National Trust car park at Stackpole Quay. Great views. Distance 1.50 miles - Ascent 100 metres.

Skrinkle Haven 27th September 2008
On a sunny morning this was a short walk while on holiday in Pembrokeshire. There wew lovely views along the dramatic coastline. Distance 1.00 mile - Ascent 140 metres.

On a lovely sunny day I walked to the summit of Kinder Scout. The going was slow across the plateau. Also visited Kinder Low and Brown Knoll. Distance 9.25 miles - Ascent 525 metres.

Dead Edge End 14th September 2008
Today I joined the Peak District National Park rangers for a walk on (which is now) Open Access land to Snailsden and Dead Edge End from Dunford Bridge. Distance 9.50 miles - Ascent 375 metres.

On a sunny and dry weekend this walk was located on the eastern edge of the Peak District. The circular walk took in five peaks and some spectacular scenery. Distance 9.40 miles - Ascent 440 metres.
